Biography
Earl retired from Florida State University in 2006. Earl's career path followed the evolution of personal computing and networked information technologies. He has been involved in the application of new and emerging technologies for education, training, communications, and organizational outreach purposes.
Over the years he worked closely with a broad range of professionals from many disciplines and has advanced skills in information design, visual design, and photography. Earl is also a published author: Information Architecture, An Emerging 21s Century Profession, Prentice-Hall, 2002 and Meanwhile, Back on Planet Earth, BookSurge, 2007.
In retirement, Earl served on the board of directors of the Apalachicola Riverkeeper and founded in 2009 an annual "paddle-a-thon fundraising event," RiverTrek, in support of the Riverkeeper's mission to protect the Apalachicola River.
Currently, Earl lives with his spouse of 43 years, Judye, in Tallahassee, Fl.
