Past Workshops

In 2013 TWA sponsored a February event: "Publishing and Marketing Workshop."

In 2012 we offered a fall workshop, "So You've Always Wanted to Write: A Creative Afternooon with Katya Taylor."

In 2011 we offered Empowering Characters Emotions with Margie Lawson.

In 2010 we offered "Trends in Publishing: What You Need To Know" with Anne Petty, Lee Raymond and Barbara Joe Williams. We also sponsored “Creating the Right Detective: A Hands-on Workshop in Mystery Writing” with Glynn Marsh Alam and "Writing a Poetic, Cinemaatic Novel" with Mary Jane Ryals.

In 2009, we offered Anne Petty on "The Art of the Short Story" and "The Business of Writing" and Donna Meredith on "The Heroine's Journey."  In 2008, we offered Glynn Marsh Alam on creating strong characters, Anne Holt on publishing and promoting, and Karen Schneider on creative nonfiction.
